I am in need of some assistance. I am currently a high school junior and I have a low GPA. This was caused by a massive amount of absences I had throughout my first two years of high school, due to medical problems and failure to make up the work. I am fully aware that I have no chance going to NYU straight out of high school. I am planning to attend Northern Maine Community College (NMCC). I am wondering if it would be possible to transfer from here to NYU. I am also considering going to a New York Communtiy College but have heard nothing but negative feedback. What do you think I should do? Does NYU favor transfers from New York? NMCC is nice but not well known about, and I feel it might be looked down upon by this university due to its location. Would it be possible for me to transfer from NMCC to NYU with a nice GPA? I am completely open to any suggestions you might have. If it would help I would like to go for a double major in International Relations/Linguistics. I am also considering Boston University, and George Washington University.
