Hey guys, I'm flying in to Chicago solo to visit Northwestern during their April 18-19th session. I was wondering if there was a shuttle or something that takes you from O'Hare to Northwestern or Evanston? I'm taking Continental so I heard they have an Airport Express shuttle but does it run to Northwestern? And if it does, how much does it normally take to get there and how much does it cost? If not, is a taxi the best alternative? Thanks!

Usually a taxi is the most commonly used way, but it's SOOOO expensive! Unless you're rolling in the dough, I would reccomend trying to take a bus or the El.

The El will take you a good hour and a half or so to navigate over to Campus. Basically you get to the purple line, and the Davis El stop leaves you only a block or two from campus.

Another option is the Pace 250 Bus, which leaves periodically from the Kiss and Fly at OHare, and brings you to the Davis El stop in Evanston. This will probably save you half an hour, but that depends on the bus schedule of when you get there.

Either way its gonna cost you two or three bucks, and it takes a little longer than a cab, but a cab usually will cost you 40-45 dollars, and that really sucks.

So shuttle = most pragmatic transportation.

Take the Pace 250 Bus, get off at Church and Benson, and ask for directions. Everyone will know. The campus is a 10 minute walk from there.

By the way, to get the bus from O'Hare you need to go to the so called "Kiss 'n' Fly." Just ask for that and they'll tell you how to get there (no walking at all).
