from the prophet --

first up -- i never said congrats to my home-slices here on the penn boards for ed admits. congrats.

second, don't feel bad -- tp didn't get in but there's still the whole world out there for me. but i was very bitter when i found out a day before the results came out, but now, everything feels straight -- and that decision feels like it happened for a reason. my calling may be somewhere else.

but now i need your help again guys.

for other colleges, all my secondary school stuff is in and also one teacher rec. however, for all of my colleges, one of my professors only faxed his letter in to the admissions office, not the actually form because he couldn't mail that on the 1st. so with deadline passed -- am i completely screwed. i know it's not funny but it is kind of amusing that i might not get in anywhere because of this.

but for real. personally, since his letter is in the college mailboxes, i don't think it's that big of a deal that his form isn't in -- yet. should i call everyone, should i pray a lot more, should i just forget about college and get ready for transfer next year to penn?

haha -- sorry for the length. but i love ya'll mofo's, and i miss those good nights deliberating penn and her sexiness.

ight crew. i'm out. happy new year/merry christmas/happy hanukah/chill kwanza/eid mubarak/have a nice day.

-tp of cc

ok someone delete this replicated ****.

The form provided by the Common Application isn't actually required for recommendations to be considered. I've read elsewhere that it's mainly used for filing purposes. So I think you're fine as is...

tp, keep up the good attitude and best of luck! I believe most schools will give leeway beyond the deadline for submission of those portions of the application that are out of your control (transcripts, recommendations, etc.). Caltech, for example, emailed applicants specifically saying that. So, you should ask your professor to send the Common App form to the other colleges. The form requires him to rank and recommend you according to differnt scales, information that is probably missing from his letter.

PROPHET!!! I thought you were like dead or overseas on some missionary trip to some place with no internet. I'm sorry you didn't get in, but be happy because I did! OK don't mean to rub it in, lol.

Yea, I agree with ^^ don't worry too much. As long as they have your letter, they're ok for now. Obviously, that doesn't mean your teacher shouldn't send his form in, just that its not crucial to meet the deadline.

I kind of miss the old days before the 15th Dec. when everyone on these boards was freaking out, and you randomly personifying Penn, lmao. Post when you get into Harvard or Trenton Community College (jkjk).

haha that sux but hopefully u'll end up somewhere special :)

haha yea man thanks -- you to tax. i gotta say, you guys got extremely lucky not having to crack down on like 50 more essays. it's been a pain -- it's over but it would have saved tons of time if philly would have showed some more brotherly love.

whatever man. we'll see -- somewhere special will be good.
