Hey everyone!

So I'm kind of in a big predicament right now and need all your help. I studied at a community college for a few semesters and transferred to the University of Minnesota (Out-of-State). The thing is that, every cent that I'm paying for tuition are from student loans, and now I came to realize that this will hurt me later on. So I'm thinking about transferring to a state school back home, however, the deadline for Fall 2012 has already passed. Now here comes my question. Would transferring back to a community college from the University of Minnesota hurt me in any way, especially in being admitted to a Ph.D program for Clinical Psychology. The debt is not my only concern. I believe I will have more research opportunities attending an in-state school due to many of the researchers offering more advantages to research assistants who are available during the summer (can't stay during the summer in Minnesota). I really miss home too and there are some really lonely and boring days in Minnesota, especially if you don't party.

So my only concern is that graduate admissions will immediately look at my transfer back to community college a really negative thing. Would this be true? Should I transfer to a community college for Fall '12 and transfer to Stony Brook in Spring '13? Why and why not?

Thank you all and I really appreciate all your help!
