I want to take FSH but I've heard scary stories. I jsut want to know the difference between FSH and regular and if it's worth taking.

Hi! I was in FSH this past year and thought it was way worth it. I can’t compare difficulty of FSH to the regular classes since I obviously didn’t take them, but I thought the FSH workload was manageable. We didn’t have homework outside of class besides webquizzes for chemistry. None of the tests were ridiculously hard, and if I did poorly on some of them, it was because I didn’t study the material well enough. Bio labs were pretty fun, chem labs were typically more stressful. I know that for regular bio, you have to do lab writeups, while in FSH, we did not. In the fall, you can go on a free overnight trip to Catalina Island! You also get to go on a trip to the tide pools with the bio class. Class sizes are 60 people in lecture, 10 in bio labs, and 17 in chem labs. Overall, I think being in FSH was a good experience. A lot of people get As in both classes.
