FSU chances?

I am a junior from Michigan getting ready to fill out college apps. I would like to know what others think about my list.

Do I have a shot at instate tuition?

I am looking to major in something business related, and possibly hospitality (if business does not work out)

Please let me know what you think about my chances as far as my college list goes! Thanks!

You have a pretty good shot, would almost be a guarantee if you could get your ACT higher. Definitely try to get it in the 30s. Good luck.

Update: I got a 33 on the April ACT. (34 E, 33 M, 34 S, 31 R)

You will get in, or should I say 99% chance because you never know…

With a 33 and your GPA you should definitely get the OOS tuition waiver.

Congrats on the 33 ACT. For the current incoming class, a 32 is the cutoff for the OOS waiver. You may also qualify for the University Freshman Scholarship ($2400 a year) which would bring the Tuition/Fees down to just over 4k a year (an incredible bargain).

One piece of advice, if you are not offered the University Freshman Scholarship initially, be sure to update your SSAR with your Senior Fall Semester grades. Then send a note to Olivia Chason (FSU admissions) and give her an update on your recent achievements. My daughter was able to secure that scholarship the second time around by doing that.

Good luck.
