FSU Class of 2022 Accepted/Rejected

Accepted!

I had a 32 on the ACT and I didnā€™t get it?? Mustā€™ve been very competitive this year.

Can someone help? It says that Iā€™m a non-resident and Iā€™ve lived here my entire life. I got accepted for fall 2018 and I submitted the residency declaration as a resident and it said that I needed to fill it out but just took me to the one I already did fill outā€¦ Helpā€¦

Accepted! So excited! Stats were 4.0 UW, 4.52 W, 1360 SAT.

This is the seminole pathway link http://admissions.fsu.edu/freshman/pathways/ . So you attend the Panama City campus first. Iā€™m on the phone with FSU right now. It sounds like a program to prepare you to attend FSU. Which is insulting since Iā€™m above the SAT range on the fall of 2017 freshmen profile.

I got in for Summer. Iā€™m a Male hispanic student.

UW: 3.2
W: 3.5
SAT: 1370
Essay: 7-7-8
ACT (no essay): 30
Residence: Florida
Class Rank: Top 50%

APs:
Lang (4) my junior year.

Iā€™m currently taking: Calc AB; Lit; Chem; US Gov; Macro; Micro; Music Theory

ECs:
English Honors Society
Pet Shelter Volunteer
Jazz Band

My profile got a LOT better after applying but these were my stats at the time of sending in the application. I also feel like my essay was very strong.

My son got accepted seminole pathways also. It means you have to take 3 classes at TCC in the fall, then you get into FSU in the spring term. (January)

Seminole pathways has you start in the summer and complete the fall semester at Panama City Campus, Talahassee Community College or abroad. You would not get to join the main campus until January http://admissions.fsu.edu/freshman/pathways/

My son was accepted into summer. Does anyone know if this satisfies the summer residency requirement?

We got a request for first semester grades, any updated test scores, and the results of his interview and audition for the music school. It simply said they needed that before making a final decision. Can anyone help me interpret this? Thank you!

Ugh. No link for OOS tuition waiver. Full OOS tuition??? With a 4.0 and 31 ACT. Iā€™m bummed for my daughter. No way can we afford full out of state tuition. :frowning:

@FPAparent She was accepted for Fall 2018. Her stats are Hispanic Female, 4.31W 3.83UW, 33ACT, 1490 SAT, NMSF and AP Scholar w/Distinction and National Hispanic Scholar. She applied for the Meteorology major. Congrats to everyone in and hugs for those disappointed.

@classof22mama It means that you have been deferred until the regular decesion.

S18 accepted with OOS tuition waiver. 35 ACT, NMSF, 3.9/4.0 UW GPA.

@atlmom2022 from ga too? that is strange considering i got it and you didnt because your daughter and i have identical gpa and act. did ou check thoroughly?

I did notice that it has her listed as a Non-Resident at the bottom of the letterā€¦so she will have to ask about that because we have lived in Florida since December 1999 and she goes to a Florida School. We also filed the residency paperwork.

No link at the bottom of her letter. Says nothing about scholarships at all. FSU is her first choice, but every other school sheā€™s been accepted to has offered her something. SC has said she has ā€œat leastā€ $40k over 4 years, final amount to be confirmed in March. And she got HOPE for GCSU. Deferred from UGA so have to wait til March/April for that one too.

Thanks @neuroman - His audition is Saturday. How long do you think we will have to wait before we know?

My sonā€™s letter says the same thing about Non-Resident. Iā€™ve been here since 1995 and he goes to school here as well. Clearly an error. Not worth calling them today.

If you got into the seminole pathways they will give you instate tuition
