Which is the better school for business?

Which area of business?

marketing or finanace

FSU has an excellent College of Business. The areas of Finance and Marketing at FSU are studied to the PhD level, which is as good as it gets. The FSU CoB is AACSB accredited and the AACSB website has some data on the various schools you mentioned:

FSU CoB: <a href=“DataDirect - General”>DataDirect - General;

Clemson CoB: <a href=“DataDirect - General”>DataDirect - General;

James Madison Univ: <a href=“DataDirect - General”>DataDirect - General;

We can see from these profiles FSU has the largest college of business and grants more PhDs in business. Clemson granted 1 PhD; FSU granted 22 during the same period as noted by the AACSB.

I think FSU’s CoB would have greater breadth, depth and be a better choice than either Clemson or JMU. More faculty at FSU’s CoB have a PhD than at Clemson - which is preferred.

You also might want to know that Warren Buffett just hired an FSU CoB grad to help run Berkshire Hathaway.
I don’t know for sure, but I think Combs graduated from FSU with a degree in Finance.

thank you and another question does being a child of an alum help at all?

Last I heard it gets you a point in the admissions calculation.

how does that go, like 10 points for gpa 10 for sat and 1 for other stuff?

no…there is no set point system (well there might be, but I think he was referring to something general like brownie points).
