NC state vs FSU business school (First threat)

I’m choosing between FSU and NC state because they’re the main two college that let me go on a gap year trip. I got in state tuition for FSU so it’s now actually cheaper than NC state for me (I live in NC). FSU also seems to be ranked higher than NC state. The thing is is that the FSU business school ranks much lower than the NC state business school (106-64 respectively according to US News) and I’ll be majoring in Finance and Accounting. Due to this, it’s looking like NC state is the choice. Anyone have any advice?

Ranking isn’t a good reason to choose a school especially when you aren’t talking top school versus lower tier school. Both are solid, well respected state schools. For accounting and finance, your career opportunities will be the same from both of those schools. So what are the real pros and cons of each for you personally? You need to figure out which is the better fit for you.

When you say “Better fit”, do you mean like the feel of the campus? Because I did visit both campuses and of the two, I liked FSU better, but unfortunately, we weren’t able to get a tour for NC state as opposed to FSU, plus we found out we didn’t see the whole campus. Another factor is that although both campuses are in their state capitals, I’ve heard that Raleigh receives more companies, is growing faster, and is better for getting an internship right after college. The colleges even out in a lot of aspects for me, but NC state took it in having a higher ranked business school and a more prestigious city.
