FSU or FAU?

I’m currently a sophomore at FSU and ever since I came here (even though it was my dream school), I never felt quite right. I’ve constantly thought about transferring to USF, as that is where I’m from, however, the thought of going back home doesn’t quite sit with me right. I’ve been trying to think of other options, and that’s when I thought of FAU. UCF doesn’t really appeal to me either, I don’t see myself being happy in Orlando. I know FAU is a much smaller school and a totally different experience but I don’t know if it’s actually worth the transfer? I’m about to be a junior, and I know some people there but not a ton. I’m just trying to find somewhere I would feel more comfortable

@stargrirl065 All the colleges you mention are great schools. What is your major? As an upperclassman you want to find the strongest program to continue your undergraduate degree. Don’t discount a school until you visit each campus. I have a student at USF and one that will likely commit to FSU next week, but were both very impressed with the UCF campus and the programs of FAU. (although they didn’t have my daughter’s major) You may be surprised where you feel the most at home. FGCU, UNF, FAU UWF, UF - all good state universities depending upon your major. Good luck!

I’m a psychology major! But I plan on going to an accelerated nursing program after graduation so I’m doing nursing at least one nursing pre-reqs per semester.

are good place to start. But it all comes down to where you feel most at home

What do you dislike about FSU?
This way we can try and see which universities are most unlike these characteristics.

FAU is a big school. It’s not that much smaller than FSU. If you want a smaller school, you’d be better off at UWF, UNF, or FGCU.

You also don’t need to go to a university. Many community colleges now offer bachelor’s programs.
