I will be transferring to either of these school in Fall 2011.I know that it's a while away but I wanted some input on these schools.I will be applying for the college of nursing.
1)Which nursing program is better.(Which hospitals r clinicals at?)
2)Whose dorms are better?
3)What is the overall feel of these campuses?
FSU=florida state
*uf=university of florida
I "" those because some might think fsu is fayettesville university.

Florida has an excellent nursing program. Because of the medical school and Shands hospital I think it would be far superior to FSU. Both campuses are nice. Couldn’t tell you the current info on dorms. Good luck!

I applied for UF, I just love it!

FSU is too far from Miami!

1) The nursing programs are comparable, UF might be slightly better.
2) FSU’s new dorms are much nicer than UF’s
3) FSU’s campus is way better

UF is generally regarded as the better school out of the two but I like both. I recently went to FSU and was really impressed, its certainly a good school too.

^Only by UF fans. ;)

My wife is an alumna of the school. It is very demanding. When she attended in the late 1970s her clinical training was based in hospitals (Tallahassee Memorial, a Catholic hospital in Jacksonville and state medical facilities such as the Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee).

Both FSU and UF are ranked tier 1 schools. So, it really depends what atmosphere you like better and what team sign you like to do at football games. UF has a wickedly strong math/science program, but FSU has some nice humanities and a decent science program to boot.
I applied to both, but will probably choose FSU over UF simply because I like the smaller atmosphere better.
