<p>Just thought I'd pass along some useful info that you may or may not know...</p>

<p>I told my D I was sending her some candy for Halloween yesterday - planning to send it FedEx so it would be there today. She asked for warm clothes - getting chilly up there - and was happy to hear she'd get them fast.</p>

<p>I took the box which ended up weighting 19 pounds (lots of CANDY) to FedEx and held my breath for the total.</p>

<p>The woman processing the package told me a little secret - you can send a package "overnight" by fedEx AIR and it is guaranteed to arrive at the dorm between 10am and 3pm the next day</p>

<p>OR</p>

<p>you can send it by ground and all packages leaving southern FL (and Tampa- yay) get there overnight and are delivered usually at or after 3pm.</p>

<p>They actually have a little handy map at the store that shows the parts of FL where this applies.</p>

<p>So, instead of paying $51.00 for the delivery it only cost $8.88.</p>

<p>well i dont have anything to say about the package but i will admit its getting cold, lets just say that my spartan costume tonight was a bad idea because i was freezing the whole night current temp is around 59, highs in the mid 60's, it might not seem cold but for us south floridians we aren't used to it.</p>

<p>I live in Florida and we also found that FedEx-Ground always arrives the next day and is only 1/3 or less the cost of FedEx Next Day Express.</p>

<p>You also get a discount by setting up an account with FedEx (which may be done online). :)</p>

<p>Note: ALWAYS SHIP TO your student at his/her DORM - NOT THE P.O. BOX!!</p>

<p>Oh yeah - always put your kid's cell phone number on the shipping label. ;)</p>
