Eight Florida State University students have been selected by Gov. Charlie Crist as 2010 Gubernatorial Fellows. With just 13 students tapped from the state's colleges and universities, Florida State is exceptionally well represented in the state's most prestigious program for leadership in public service.

Nice!

Go 'Noles!! :D

I’m wondering how long it’ll take for someone complain about his bias.

In politics, some win and some lose. These appointments are examples of how government works. It doesn’t hurt to come from a wealthy family like Duda from Oviedo, a family that is a big campaign donor to Crist. The governor is thickskinned and can weather any criticism of selections he makes–that’s politics. Crist is governor and rightly should be allowed to appoint whomever he wishes. All the selectees are deserving though of the Gubernatorial Fellowship appointments.

“Established in 2004, the Gubernatorial Fellows program immerses students in key areas of government, including the Executive Office of the Governor and the governor’s agencies, giving future leaders firsthand, high-level training as well as valuable experience and insight into government and how it works.”
