FSU study abroad programs

I'm interested in FSU, and would be a history major (with a possible double major in Classical Archaeology). I was wondering if anyone here had any experiences with the study abroad programs in Ireland and/or the Italian dig site in Tuscany. I can't really find much more information than what's on their (not extremely descriptive) website. Would anyone recommend either of these study abroad programs? Or any other, for that matter?

Thank you.

My daughter just graduated from FSU. She did not do the dig in Tuscany, but she did do a summer there. The FSU Internation Studies program is wonderful and very organized. They have an office and classrooms in Florence, and it is an experience you will remember forever.

DD is doing the first 5 semesters abroad with FSU. She is in China right now and loves every second of it. Program in Florence, Italy is amazing but I don’t know about the dig site.

Any knowledge of a semester in Panama? Anybody?

Maybe this goes into more detail:

brysia- Is your daughter fluent in Manderin?

No, she is taking level 101.

I have several friends studying in Panama. And this is what I know

-Academics (from what I’ve heard from friends): it’s not that they’re easy, but the learning environment is quite different, in a positive way. In fact, many students (from Panama) that attend other colleges in the states go here during summer and they have very good feedback on the classes.

-They just moved. Before, they were in old buildings…now they’re relocated in a similar place but the structure is quite nice. Actually, I visited recently and it looks great. Plus the new location is in an area where many international NGO’s, schools and embassies are established. So it’s a different environment than the regular Panama, secluded you might say.
Living in Panama is quite cheap, and very comfy to move around (nothing is usually more that 30mins away).

Just curious have many students done the SAS Semester at Sea and what is your feedback.
