Hey guys,

I'm originally from Florida and did really well in high school; I was accepted to the FSU honors program last fall (2010). I decided to go out of state, however I didn't adjust well and ended up not doing so well the first year academically. I've reactivated my application to FSU now all they need is my final transcripts from my previous university. What are my chances of getting in to FSU as a transfer student for fall of 2011?

We can’t tell you what your chances are if you don’t give us any information. College GPA, # of credits, HS GPA, SAT/ACT.

It doesn’t matter if you got accepted from high school. Once you are in college, they will look at your college GPA more than your high school record and SAT/ACT scores.

They take very few students now with less than 60 hours or their AA, and on paper they say they will not consider any student with less than a 3.0 on all college work attempted and all college work at the last institution attended.

The good news is that if you apply with less than 60 hours, you have to meet freshman requirements, which you already did when you were accepted the first time. This is a plus.

You also have to be on MAP for your major, and your application is reviewed by admissions and the department of your major.

What is your GPA as it stands now? What is your major? Have you looked at the requirements for your major at FSU and its associated Academic MAP?
