Hello, I am currently attending a community college here in Miami and will be out of here with an AA this spring. My gpa is a 3.4 and will have my 61 credits this spring. My high school gpa was just horrible they don't take that into account do they cause i ended up with a 2.4. What are my chances of getting into FSU?

ttriber. I was also looking into transferring and from what I gathered from talking to an admissions officer, you should be fine since you will have an AA. I assume this means you will have 60 hours? Once you have 30+ hours, high school grades are not considered in the admissions process for transfers. Good luck!

Apply early...just because you have a 3.4 GPA and an AA does not guarantee admission to Florida State. You are in competition with thousands of other transfer students for admission.

So I applied and paid the 30$ fee. I went to my College and asked for the transcripts be sent to FSU as well as my highschool to send the transcripts in order to get those 2 years of foreign language in highschool done. I just looked over some old highschool grades and I saw that one year I had a B in Spanish and the second year I ended up with a D. Will that hurt my chances?

^Did the application require that you send in your high school transcripts? Because if you have your AA, I'm 99% sure they don't look at anything from your high school record. It's basically your transfer GPA, and whatever else you've done in college. Whatever the case may be, try to finish up this semester all A's to boost your GPA. A 3.4 is probably pretty competitive for FSU, but it's certainly not guaranteed. If you could get your GPA at or above a 3.5, that should help you out.

Don't worry about your high school grades. You have enough college coursework to put those behind you.

The only reason why I sent my Highschool transcripts was for those 2 years of foreign language that i took in high school. As far as this semester I will send another transcript as soon as I'm done to show this semester's grades and my AA. I don't have to send SAT or ACT so that should be it im guessing.
