FSU vs. UCF

I need opinions. Downside about Central Florida is probably size for me, I don't want too big of a campus, but I opinions from everybody else. Please no bias.

I go to UCF but I can tell you that a lot of high school friends that choose FSU regret it b/c it is kind of in a “country” area, no big malls or anything. Since UCF is in Orlando, there is alot to do on your downtime. As far as UCF being too big, the campus is really easy to get around so don’t let the size scare you.

I haven’t found any major flaws about UCF since I’ve been here other than it gets reallllly hot in the summer but that’s just Florida for ya ;)

Ha, i meant as far as campus size? Like population, is the fact that there are alot of people bother some? More opinions please!

It really doesn’t seem like there are 50k+ students on campus. At very few events are there thousands of students and it seems like it is too much. There are times where the campus is so quiet its scary because there should be so many students around. I have yet to have a problem with it. However, in terms of registering I’m not sure because I register early w/ honors. I don’t have experience with the campus at FSU

I’m trying to decide between FSU and UCF. I was waitlisted at my first choice and I’m still waiting to hear back from a few schools, but it looks like it will be coming down to these two. I love the fact that UCF is in Orlando and the campus looks gorgeous. I am going to try to convince my parents to let me visit.

I had to decide between FSU and UCF. I got in for fall in both schools but I chose UCF over FSU. One big issue was financial aid. I got a ten thousand dollar scholarship for UCF, and nothing for FSU. Also, a lot of people I know from high school are going to FSU and to be honest…I don’t want college to be like high school. Yes, I’ll miss my friends, but I want to start new again. And FSU seems a bit too traditional for my taste.
