FTIC student definition, < 12 credits, but when?

First Time In College (FTIC) freshman are defined as students who have earned fewer than (12) semester hours since HS - anyone know if that is 12 cedits prior to starting classes at UF, or application, or acceptance?

My daughter may take a gap year, and apply for Fall 2021 - what would UF do if she is accepted, but following acceptance, completes more than 12 credits - recind her freshman acceptance?

Yes if 12 credits are completed after the HS gradation date a freshman we would have to rescind freshman acceptance by state law.

Thanks.

12 credits prior to the start of UF instruction I take it?

In my DD’s case, since she is HSAA 2020, so any additional classes (I gather) would only add to the “pool” to pick the most applicable 60 credits to transfer to UF.
