<p>I want to double major in English and theatre. I was thinking about applying to Notre Dame but I find it strange they don't really have a theatre major, does the Film, Television, Theatre major deal. Anyone have any experience with this? Theatre is not my primary career choice, I just want to have some additional training and experience so I can perhaps pursue it in my free time in addition to my teaching career (I hope to teach high school English, perhaps someday at the college level). I might have missed this on the website, what degree do you actually earn from this? </p>

<p>I don't have too much info on FTT but I do have several FTT major friends who if things calm down I can refer you too (all of us seniors are going nuts right now though). FTT sounds like the place for you though. There are a lot of good Theatre classes and from what I have heard the faculty is very good. I have friends who are planning on going on to Theatre grad school after FTT, so I do think it is successful. They have many student plays which are very good as well. Sorry I don't know much more, but it seems to be a very solid program.</p>
