Full-need met and aerospace engineering??

Hello, like it’s said in the title does anyone know about univerities that have bachelors degree of aerospace engineering and meets full need? it’s not necessary need-blind financial aid, i just need some unis that meet all my needs via merit, loans etc etc.

I have these universities in mind but i don’t really know if they match completely with the preferences which i told before (well, at least MIT does but is a really big match):

Illinois Institude of Technology
Case Western Reserve University
Syracuse University
Florida Institude of Technology

i can’t provide more information about my financial situation right now, nor my exam scores (i will have all of them done by april 2016)

I really apppreciate your help, thanks.

What is your GPA? SAT/ACT? Extracurricular?
How much can you afford per year?

None in the list offers need basd scholarship to international students. You MUST put schools that offer merit based scholarship. Also, loan is not a good option.

Well, i can’t give that information right now so i consider making a new discussion until i get them.btw why loans are not a very good idea?

Why can’t you talk about your school grade and test exams?

You won’t get any US-based loans because you are not a citizen.

Full need scholarships don’t exist for international students unless you have tip-top scores and since you don’t have those to report yet, we can’t tell you which merit programs exist.

There are only two MERIT scholarships I can think of that are virtually guaranteed AS LONG AS you have right GPA and SAT and apply in time. One is Howard University, another is U of Alabama.

Assuming you meet criteria, the former gives you full ride, the latter gives full tuition. However, U of Alabama has significantly higher ranks.

Check out Wichita State and UA Huntsville.

It’s a bad idea for international students to study aerospace engineering in the US. Most of the jobs in that area are military jobs and require US citizenship + a security clearance. (I have an international friend who found this out the hard way after finishing her Bachelor’s degree…)

Yes, agree ^^^^^
My husband’s company is one such company that requires proof of citizenship during pre employment paperwork, and they typically don’t employ “aerospace” engineers but EEs and MEs

What about EADS?

I don’t have my GPA defined yet and I haven’t took the necessary exams but I assume I’ll get high scores

And what if I take a double major on AEE and ME or EE? Would it work?

You will assume you will get high scores? How interesting…
It doesn’t matter if you take double major. Aerospace engineering for international student is NOT a good choice, as many, many other posters have said.

Yep, it may sound strange but my GPA is between 8.5 - 9.5 /10 I don’t really know how much is in 4.0 scale and I’m preparing for the exams diligently. So, what should I do? I really want to work in aerospace industry and do internships or maybe work at NASA, boing, Spacex and so on

What do you recommend me? I have computer science and astronomy in mind too

Without US Citizenship, you will not be able to work for NASA or for any US company that works on government contracts.

Yup, no citizenship, nothing.

That being said, getting citizenship is very time consuming, and even more time consuming unless you have a family connection

Even secretaries in those companies have to have security clearances, which equal citizenship, background checks, etc.

U don’t need a aerospace engineering degree to go into aerospace.

“Meeting full need” means the college’s definition of what it thinks u need, which can be very different from what u think u need.

Can u use your US engineering degree in your own country?

most internationals think the SAT will be easy because the content is easy, but the key here is speed and accuracy, which is quite difficult to acquire.
You can’t double major with engineering because there’s a prescribed course sequence and very few electives.
