Not sure what my son should do, he's Valedictorian of his class and can get into any college. The problem is money. Should he go to Texas State a full ride or Texas A & M only 4000 offered? He wants to study Computer Science, What would you do?

I would say he go to Texas State since it’s full ride, & join the Honors College there so he can graduate with full honors.

thanks for replying

TAMU has waay better alumni network especially for interning and working in Texas. There may be opportunities for departmental scholarships too.

Not sure if you’ve decided yet, but reading JAMCAFE’s advice I’d have to agree. There might be departmental scholarships. Also, with regards to the particular field he’d be going into, Computer Science, TAMU would be better. Take loans if you have to to make A & M happen. It would be a worthwhile investment.
