Funding for US students @ UK grad schools?

Is there any hope with a cum gpa of 3.52/4.0?? Grants, scholarships, etc. all seem US-centric... Am I expected to take out a $60k loan for my grad program? #*$&

At the university level funding is notoriously bad for Americans in the UK. At Oxbridge there’s a little bit of money (I got enough to pay for tuition, but not cost of living), but not the kind that you will get from top US unis.

The first thing I would do is look at your family history to see if you qualify for EU citizenship. About 1/4 of US Citizens qualify for dual citizenship with an EU nation and don’t know it. If you have ancestors from Greece, Italy, Ireland, and several other countries those countries pass citizenship by blood and not by place of birth.

The NSF GRFP permits its funding to be used overseas.

You can apply for ORS scholarships for the out of country fee portion, but few of these are given.

For living expenses try to be an RA (free R&B) and pick up odd jobs like invigilating exams or grading papers for pocket money

There are some national tough scholarships, but slim odds on those.
