Funky situation: Chances before I spend a month's wages!

Hey good luck on Swat! I'm here right now but am trying to transfer to Harvard, Tufts, or Wellesley (just got into Wellesley), so maybe you'll take my place! And if you get in, be grateful that you're a transfer, because the housing lottery this year for sophomores was awful!

IMissBoston: I just got into Wellesley too! Are you going? I think it's my top choice, but I'm not totally sure- Why do you want out of Swat?? (Is it simply because you miss Boston???) Good luck!

yeah...mostly because I miss Boston/want to be near my family, lol. But also because the program isn't right for me. I'm interested in international development, urban planning, and environmental issues, and so being at Wellesley, Harvard, or Tufts would be better for that. I'm hoping that I get into Tufts and/or Harvard, because I want to continue doing engineering and Wellesley obviously does not offer that. Also, something about Wellesley makes me a little uneasy-but I will be there in the fall if I don't get in anywhere else. However I LOVE Swarthmore, and I think I would definitely choose it over a lot of places barring my specific interests and location considerations. You should definitely check it out!

yes i STRONGLY agree with meyerlansky. please don't apply to Washu.
i'm applying there! lol
of course i'm kidding as well... you can apply, but just don't take my spot. lol! (sorry.. felt like joking around again)

you've got pretty good stats
and i'd say you look pretty good on those colleges.
good luck! :)

Colgate is not better than half the schools on the list... Sorry canyonbrad

If you have the money apply to all b/c you never know... I think you have a good shot at everything. If not, delete what you don't want that much.

I attend Bryn Mawr right now and must tell you that if you don't like an isolated location, Bryn Mawr, PA may not be the best place for you. Sure, Philly is 20 minutes away but the nearest train to Philly costs 4.75 one way which amounts to 8.50 round trip. If you go into Philly three times a week, each week out of the month thats approx. 120 dollars a month. Trust me, you don't want to spend that much to have a social life esp. considering the campus is socially dead and nearby Haverford has some of the most pathetic parties of any college around. I'm semi-biased because I'm trying to transfer but if you visit you have to look beyond the surface. They like to tell students that the social life "is what you make it" when frankly there isn't much to make on a limited budget and no guys.

you go to Rider too?? hah! I'm here too! Except this spring i'll start at Syracuse.

hey- good luck to you! you have great stats. i think you have a good shot at all of those schools.

im applying to Barnard as a transfer for fall 2008 and was wondering how you were treated rudely? its a shame a great applicant like you would be put off from applying because of rude people. was it the admissions office?

good luck to you!
