I know that people do some funny stuff during the AP test, so I decided to post up what I did during the AP Comparative Gov test.

I wrote a letter:

Dear College Board,

While it is nice that you gave us 100 minutes to work on this AP test's free response, I feel that it is too long. Half the people here are asleep and just waiting for the end of the test! Please make sure that next year's AP Comparative Gov's free response is shorter.

While I will not be receiving any credit for this AP test in the major of the college I will be attending in the fall, I am glad to have paid $90 knowing that you guys are trying to make our college lives easier by having us take harder classes in our first year, potentially screwing us over. Thank you for the opportunity.

Well, I should be getting back to my test now. The proctor says I'm supposed to move on to question 8. See ya!

-Your customer for a not-for-profit organization

P.S. If you're a grader, is it true that College Board pays for everything on your trip to Florida? Hit me up with some of that guanxi, man! =)

post up what you guys did (or would've done!)

Well, I started by bubbling in some things on an answer sheet. I think I might have signed a thing or two as well, but I can't recall the exact details. After this, I rested for about ten minutes. Then some people said some things and I opened a pink booklet. I don't remember what I did then, but I know I used a pen to do it.

Did you guys actually write that in your AP booklet? Would they care that you wrote that and affect your grade? I know if your cross it out, then they can't grade it.

I had a lot of extra time (about 30 minutes) after the FRQ in AP US Government and about 15 mins extra after the multiple choice.

i totally wrote THIS IS SPARTA! repetitively on ap comparative gov after i was done. and i drew lines through it so it wont cost me anything...not like i knew what i was doing on the stupid FRQ #7 anyhow...

RChris, it's a facebook group called "everybody write THIS IS SPARTA! on your ap/ib exams" basically just a big practical joke that caught on quick.

well for that letter i didn't specify a number for it and just left the number box blank.

i also wrote in chinese all over the pink booklet. i wrote like "china ftw" and "i like china, do you?" right in the free spaces of the essays regarding china.

dunno, maybe it'll get read, maybe it won't. all i know is that it's a hell of a lot more interesting than reading what governments are all about!

I also got that message about THIS IS SPARTA on fb but I can't help myself thinking how lame the idea is. Can't we have something more original? XD

I've seen a few people writing an ode to the grader in the past.

On the APUSH DBQ there was a picture of a farmer with a bunch of black/brown horses in front and white horses in the back pulling a something and my friend circled the white horses and wrote "RACIST!"

i know some ppl. at my school drew cartoons, wrote rap, and other random stuf..i didn't think other ppl. outside of my school (my school is very unacademic)..did things like that..:)

Well for the AP Lang exam last year one of the essays was about advertising, so I made a cute little fake ad that said the AP grader will be popular, lose ten pounds, and experience other joys if she takes advantage of this offer and grades the essay nicely. Got a 5. Probably didn't have to do with it though.

we took computer science yday which was a joke.. we didnt know anything. we all wrote 'this is sparta' one guy wrote a song about his life
and this other kid wrote scene by scene drawings of The graduates
