<p>True, when I took the Cal. bar it was in the mid-forty percent pass rate -- up from a low of around 38% the year before. Yet, I have never seen a study to suggest that the Cal. Bar was "manipulated" to control the number of lawyers in the state. When looking at the Cal. bar exam, one has to look at the break down of ABA member grads and non-ABA school member grads in regard to the pass rate. When you do, the cal bar is still the hardest -- even for ABA school grads -- but the numbers are not as bleak as the overall passage rate would suggest.</p>
