FYI -- Conditions of UA Presidential Scholarship

so you would have to pay 1/3 of the cost of the extra hours, bc the ua scholars will take care of 2/3.

somehow this doesn’t sound right, though.

it seems to make sense…perhaps the university charges 1/3 of everything up to 20…and then the engineering college covers up to 16…thus the student pays the remaining balance

who did you email? and can you quote the answer?

i emailed ms saskia clayton, director of scholarships, college of engineering

I don’t understand why that would be. The CoE still pays Bama the same supplemental amount for those who have the UA scholar amount (about $6500 per year).

Is the CoE aware of the university change?

it sounds like they may not be aware.

if this is new, they may not have not gotten the memo yet. : )

well we’ll find out eventually…the college will update its scholarships once new tuition rates are posted, according to ms clayton

most college students don’t overload credits…the university of idaho allowed students to pay the same rate for 18+ credits regardless of how many taken…when they disallowed it due to budget cuts, they only saved $10000
