<p>are the horror stories about org chem true????? For those that are not satisfied with their grades, do you feel that you would have received a better grade if you studied more? </p>

<p>I'm a pre-med undergrad at the College of William and Mary, and I just took Orgo last semester. While it is a hard class, it's definitely not impossible. The reason so many people find it so difficult is because it involves thinking in a completely different way than you're used to. Whereas general chemistry is mostly math-based, orgo is NOT at all. I didn't even turn on my calculator during my final exam. A lot of people have a hard time adapting to this, and don't change their study methods. I can't compare it to physics, because I haven't taken a physics class since high school.</p>
