D has been accepted to UR and will be a premed neurobiology major with a mathematics minor. She understands that this is a demanding course of studies and is OK with that.

But what she (and I) are wondering are what are the other premed students like? During her recent overnight, she mets lots of laid-back, interesting kids--but most of them weren't science/math/engineering types. (They were probably off studying somewhere. <smile>) </smile>

So are the premeds at UR more likely to get together and form study groups before exams or rip the pages out reference books in the library so no one else can use them to do the homework sets?

And, off topic--my D will be far, far away from home and because trips home are both expensive ($700RT) and long (7-9 hours), she will be unable to go home for long weekends. How much does the campus empty out over 3-4 days weekends? What about Thanksgiving?
