lol, that took me like 5 minutes to type up. Where do people get the time to write like that? Yeah someone just texted me and wrote like that and got me really annoyed. Grr, lol.

Who else doesn't like writing like that? I mean, it's really hard to read, too.

I totally agree with you! Why would anyone type like that when it just wastes time for both you and the person you are sending it to? Hmm...maybe that person is trying to procrastinate on something? I don't know, it confuzzles me.

My favorite is when people type normally, but purposely spell words wrong. Usually, people do that for convenience, ie. u, r, ur, etc... (that still drives me crazy), but when people purposely spell 'my', 'mai' or 'mah', I really don't understand it. You're adding in an extra letter and you look ignorant at the same time. Where's the convenience in that?

I can't stand things like the op did, or the simple "u" or "r".
BUT with my friends, I have the tendency to type things like "mah" because we have our own language, and it is in fact a different pronounciation. And, when saying bye to someone on aim, I usually end it with "laterrrrrrr" because... well, because I can.

Well, I have to confess, I'm also an offender of the excess letters at the end of a word thing. I just tend to get lazy when talking to friends and leave my finger on a key longer than I should.

Agreed. This is actually one of my biggest pet peeves. I hate it when people type "mah" -- it sounds like they're trying to talk with a bowling ball stuck in their throat. Seriously. I have had many communication issues with people typing improperly and I think that kind of typing just gives off a bad tone.

You know "lol" is part of that fad? You aren't any better then the ones who resort to using numbers for letters. Instant messenger speak is just as bad as "leet" speak.

I'm a different sort of offender. I made my MSN screen name using the character map. It's not really typing, just a lot of clicking. I did it to be creative, and it was something other than "call the cell" or "I hate life" (not that any of my contacts say that...)
