<p>I'm a transfer coming from the bay area school system and have just submitted my SIR for this Fall.</p>
<p>I'm curious, though. Is there much of a gaming scene at UCSC? IE a club, or group or something?</p>
<p>My friends here are awesome about my xbox addiction, but I'd love to have a way to get to know SOME people in my soon-to-be new environment that I don't have to hide this nerdiness from right away.</p>

<p>Yeah, I’ve read what the forums have had to say about the Game Developing Major and the house that goes with it. I guess I was asking more about clubs. Haha.</p>
<p>There aren’t any clubs as far as I know. But no matter where you go, there will be gamers. There’s no need to hide your nerdiness. XP</p>

<p>Actually a quick update. Some people are trying to start up a campuswide organization of gamers, that will start meeting next year. I think I’m going to try to get involved with organizing it. :]</p>

When I was on the tour, the guide said that all information for clubs and stuff are located at the student union building…which was next to the bookstore or something.</p>

<p>There’s a “club day” at the beginning of the year where all the clubs have booths on the east field. They’ll likely show up there if they want to get lots of members.</p>
