Gannett Psych?

Has anyone been there? As in seen a psychiatrist in gannett? If so did you guys think it was helpful and how much did it cost?

Usually, seeing a psych is free, or it should be covered under your health insurance/student fees (I never had to pay when I got sick). I think seeing a psychiatrist varies in its usefulness depending on the person and situation. If you’re looking for counseling because you’re feeling overwhelmed by school, I would say that Gannett does a pretty good job with that. I went for other reasons, and I did not think it helped very much. However, you can always go and see for yourself.

Depends on who you see, their agenda, and the severity of your issues.

If you need crisis style care Gannett is excellent, but if you’re seeking more of a long-term outpatient style treatment (beyond just getting your meds) you may have a bit of a problem finding what you want at Gannett. They have a number of counselors to speak with and there is also EARS

I’ll admit that one semester got the better of me. When the “regular” doctors cleared me, they sent me to Gannett Psych and they were great. It was helpful and everything was great by finals and has been ever since.

It’s included with your health care stuff, but there is a small deductible for each session. Last I knew it was only a few bucks per.

$10/session.

decent. but it depends on who you get - luck of the draw.
