GAP YEAR in COMMONAPP

<p>Hi,
I graduated last year and am currently taking a year off.
In the EDUCATION section of the commonapp there is a question about education interruption. (Please indicate if your progression THROUGH SECONDARY SCHOOL was or will be delayed or interrupted in any way.) and i don't know what to answer :(</p>

<p>here are my options:
did or will not graduate
did or will graduate early
did or will graduate late
did or will change secondary schools
did or will take time off
did or will take gap year
did or will receive GED
I have no interruption to report</p>

<p>Please i need help</p>

<p>I’m confused. There’s an option for gap year, and you’re taking a gap year… Select that? Am I missing something?</p>

<p>Hi,
Thank you for answering. My problem is my gap year is after i graduated, so it’s after secondary school.</p>

<p>Interruption IN SECONDARY SCHOOL</p>

<p>so nothing</p>

<p>I’m in the same situation. I took a gap year as well but it was after I graduated from HS and therefore not an “interruption through secondary school”. Still unsure of how I should answer this</p>

Hello, I wanted to know if you guys ever got this resolved, for I am a senior year student in highschool and I have to sign up for commonapp but the thing is I want to take a half gap year to have some savings to support. I am graduating class of 17 but I am still unsure when getting into college will go into effect.

This is for interruptions during your schooling. SInce you’re graduating and simply enrolling later, you simply need to apply to colleges that admit for the Winter term (Jan 2018). Just be clear that the college offers it and that in your application, you are clear to them.
