<p>I wanted to see who else got accepted to the Garcia program to get to know you all better before I arrive in New York. Any other people going?:D</p>

<p>Did Garcia send out all the accepted list? I did not get it yet. Does it mean I am rejected?</p>

<p>I dunno… @andrewpwnsyou, do you know around how many people were in the email you got? There may be three waves of emails coming out.</p>
<p>and @crookedstairs, I emailed them asking about costs and they haven’t responded… I think it also says on the website that housing costs will be determined by the housing authorities in may 2011 (haven’t updated yet…).</p>
<p>The email I got has 15 recipients.</p>
<p>There are multiple emails sent out with 15-20 recipients per email. I did not receive an email, but my dad did and forwarded it to me.</p>
<p>I was accepted to Garcia MRSEC and UF SSTP but am still waiting for a few more decision notices.</p>
<p>Do you guys have previous research experience? Where do you all come from?</p>
<p>My friend’s friend got in and his email included 28 receipients couple days ago. It said to reply by April 30th.</p>
<p>Does anyone know how many total people they accept?</p>
<p>last year, there were quite a few people. ~60-70 kids</p>

<p>@Chemosaurus I have done a lot of shadowing and have an internship in a lab. I am really hoping for something more involved, however. I am from SoCal as well. Where else did you apply? I think I saw your username on the SIMR page. Did you get in? And thanks for making the FB group.</p>
<p>Congrats to everyone accepted! So far, Garcia is my top choice, although I won’t know for sure for a couple more weeks where I’ll be spending my summer.</p>
