<p>Every student accepted to Colgate gets the personal PS - what the note says varies, but it might be a reference to one of your essays, or maybe what one of your teachers said about you in a recommendation (my son’s note said something about each of these points). It might refer to one of your extracurriculars, etc. It will be something personal to you that is in your admissions file.</p>
<p>Cool. So that doesn’t mean that you have to have some crazily outstanding quality /qualities? With a very good academic record, good essays, good recommendations and decent extracurriculars and nothing else amazingly outstanding, I still have a chance right?</p>
<p>He’ll find something to say about your application, no matter what. If he can do it for 700+ accepted students each year, he can do something for you. Then again if you think you’re mediocre, then what makes you think you’ll get into Colgate? :P</p>
