I doubt it. I’m sure they’re going to send out more soon. There were some people who got theirs by mail and some who got them 2-3 weeks after everyone else did, so keep hoping!</p>

<p>I’m moving on about now. Asian friend from the Midwest received notification. I’m in the same exact situation, and got nothing. Doesn’t look too good.</p>
<p>Everyone be patient. I looked at past threads and for some people it took a week to find out. Some two weeks. It is ONLY the first day of notifications. We still have the rest of the week and next week. Just stay positive and stop worrying yourself.</p>
<p>Haha waaaait I take my whiny and ultra-pessimistic comment back. She was notified by mail today. Ambitious is correct. I get to squirm for a while longer!</p>

<p>@TWEEZER: Am I really? It was crazy, I was talking in the car about it with my mom on how notifications come out this week and how nervous I was. Then, I looked down at my phone, and the email was on my screen! Super trippy!</p>
<p>But yeah guys, remain positive. I doubt all the notifications have been sent out, so don’t lose hope yet.</p>
<p>Does anyone know if there is a difference between a semi-finalist and a finalist? I hear everyone mentioning “semifinalist”, but on my email it said I was a finalist… just curious on whether or not that’s a huge difference?</p>
<p>I’m an African American from Atlanta Georgia and I got my finalist notification by email!!!</p>
<p>I received my finalist notification at 3:08 PM CST here in South Dakota.</p>
<p>To clarify things, there is no semifinalist…when you submit your application, you are then an applicant after you are notified that you have made it to the next round then you are a “finalist”…I hope alot of other people were as happy as I was when I got my notification that I was a finalist. All those that haven’t received anything, don’t fret because there is still two weeks left.</p>
