Gates Millenium Scholarship 2011-2012

^ Super, if you received notifications about your finalist spot, I wouldn’t worry too much. if you’re very worried, just contact the people about this situation

wondering, after we verify our income and such, is there more verification to do? o-o

@anotherindiankid i’m the only one from my school, too! and i am a USA Funds Scholarship finalist as well. I’m not a complete failure. lol

@jsungoh no i have not received anything yet…i was talking about when i completed my app on january 10th, after that i have not heard anything from them

Don’t lose hope yet, one of my friends received her email today. If we have already waited like two months we can wait a bit longer. Lets not give up yet.

I agree, I wanna say goodluck to all the other people that applied for the scholarship. I really wish that everyone can win this but its not possible… goodluck and its intriguing reading other ppls posts… there is still time to recieve it! I believe in karma so if u have actually made that difference then u will certainly be rewarded!

@havefaithandlove you CANT give up. have faith! lol

Ok, I totally don’t have my password or I’d number, so what do I have to do? Just sit and wait for am email? Or could I call, give my email address and hope that helps? I’m African American from SC. help…

I’m an AA from Nor Cal. I was notified as finalist on the Mar 8th!

questforart, is there not an option to put in your social security number? There was several years ago for my daughter, but as I stated in a previous post, even when she was named scholar, the automated system was not recognizing her, so for those of you who are getting the same message, don’t throw in the towel just yet!

have any African Americans from the Northeast (NJ, NY, MA, MD, DE, etc) heard yet?

any aa’s from Texas heard anything yet??

and those who’ve unfortunately recieved a rejection notification… Was it via email?

Freeyurmind14: I’m not from Texas but I believe someone posted that they were AA, from Texas and got their finalist letter via email.

Freeyurmind14: there sending out rejection letters???

I contacted them via email, today, and they said: we began to notify on the 8th day of March, the notification process has not ended yet however once the notification process is over we are going to send rejection letter the last week of march to those who were not selected as a finalist, so THERE’S STILL CHANCE, :)

I am also a finalist, S.C.
I have a problem though. For some reason when I did my FAFSA and received my SAR, it said that immigration didn’t have enough information to confirm that I am a US’s resident. I don’t know why I did wrong…What should I do? Can I still submit my SAR? Would I get penalized for it? PLEASE HELP ME, this is really important!

Romero27: thank you!!!

jSea11:

I assumed so because of the number of people who have said they were not a finalist…

Hey guys. I just got off the phone with one of the representitives and she told me that all the emails have been sent out. She could be wrong, but that’s what she told me. So congratulations to everyone who received it! && for those of you who haven’t, remain optomistic and just know that God has something else in store for you. God bless you all

:( :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: now I have lost 100% of my hope :frowning: :frowning: :(
