Gateway Accident

Hello, Im a current applicant to the HADES schools and have a problem with my application. I was just roaming my Gateway and noticed I wrote the same activity twice on my candidate profile! Is this bad? Will the admissions officers get mad? Im freaking out right now!

just email the schools

I did something similar-I totally messed up my household information because it was my first application and I was confused. Should I e-mail the school as well?

@baseball25, thanks so much. Also, what should I do about a spelling error I made

I actually would advise against emailing the schools unless it is something really flagrant. Putting the activity down twice is a harmless mistake, and no one will reject you because of that. Emailing the schools and saying you put the activity down twice firstly calls attention to a harmless mistake but also they are at their busiest time right now and you don’t want to bother them unless it is truly important. If there is a glaring error (wrong email to send you your acceptances for example) or you forgot to mention a varsity sport, or that you are student council president, etc., then don’t worry about it and stop sweating the small stuff.

@bspreppie, thank you so much for your help. I guess Im just so anxious about march 9th. I really want to get into these schools

I feel like if AOs see it they will think you were trying to make like you did more activities. If you call the admissions offices of the schools, usually a campus coordinator or someone picks up and they are always willing to help.

Well, this is what happened. I put down Drama then the hours per week… Then I clicked on Drama again below but put nothing else

I honestly can’t read the mind of the AO lol. They could either think you are trying take up space or it was a mistake. Most likely they will think its a mistake, but you never know.

If you called the school, whoever picks up the phone could probably cross it out on your file for you.

@baseball25, thanks so much for your help. is anyone noxious for March 9th. Andover is my first choice, I am dying to know

Yeah, I wouldn’t email them just for that. Now, if you put down basketball instead of soccer or something like that and you never actually played basketball, that would be different because it would be an accidental misrepresentation and would also ignore all the soccer you played. But you did participate in drama, so I think you’re fine. You are not the only one with a minor error or two. If you do get rejected, god forbid, that minor error will not be the reason why. Good luck and don’t worry! I hope you get in!

The noxious applicants generally don’t stand a chance. I think you meant anxious. ;)

@coconutcake, thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate your help and making me feel much better
