Problem..

I did something wrong on my application to one of the schools, due to me being so careless.

Well, for the part on the essays when you have to say whether or not you went to an interview, the date of the interview, etc., I had typed in the date for the interview and checked off that I DID go to an interview..
But after that, I had a session timeout or something, and totally forgot that the application didn't save that I wrote that I had an interview.

So I sent it out, and even after pressing print preview, I somehow didn't notice that it wasn't filled in, and had submitted it in before it was too late.

I'm so scared now because I don't want them to automatically put me in the reject pile just because my essay app on Gateway says that I didn't have an interview when I actually did.

I'm really scared. Anyone have any advice? I don't know what to do.

Relax. The school will realize that you did in fact have an interview, and will assume it was just a little glitch. No one is going to automatically be thrown into the reject pile, especially over a tiny mistake such as that. Honestly, don’t worry about it - you have time to de-stress until the anxiety kicks in as March 10th grows nearer! Good luck!

You think so? Should I contact the school in case?

Email them, or fax them an updated printout. Don’t sweat it. In the scheme of things, this is a pretty minor mistake and the schools aren’t heartless. They’ll understand. Just call them and ask how to correct the error.
