Gay at Georgia Tech?

So I know that Atlanta is a supposed to be a gay-friendly city, but what about Georgia Tech itself?

I want to hear from current students what the attitudes are towards to LGBT students at Tech. Is there open hostility? Are there any gay people at all? And also, are there any LGBT organizations? I didn't see any listed on the school website.

I just want to know what the deal is, because basically I'm one of those that you can look at and instantly know is gay, and there are A LOT of gay people at my high school.

This is just out of curiosity, I'm not going to rule out Tech if it isn't as gay-friendly as the rest of Atlanta is.

When I went to Atlanta’s Gay Pride, I saw a LGBT organization from Georgia Tech - it was the Pride Alliance. [Pride Alliance | A Georgia Tech Student Organization](http://www.pride.gatech.edu/) So yes, there are organizations. I’m not a student there yet, but if I am accepted I will definitely go and my friends say it is relatively gay friendly.

If you go to Tech, you should come over here a lot if you feel something missing. Super Duper gay friendly over here.

@cshumate: Thanks for the link! I was beginning to get worried. haha. Hopefully I’ll see you there next next.

@bernie: I did notice that when I was poking around Emory’s website. =)

Yeah, but it’s better if you actually see it. Completely different from Tech’s campus in terms of look, feel, politics, and political demographics. Yeah, again, you should visit often if you want a change of scenery sometimes.
