I was just accepted, and so I'm having to decide between Stanford and Princeton, and a really big factor for me is the size of the gay population. I know that Stanford's is large, but I've heard not-so-nice things about Princeton's.
Could anyone tell me anything about this?

I’d say that around 7-10% of kids here are gay. I am not a member of the LGBT community so I can’t really tell you what it’s like to be gay here but things seem to be fine (like read the comments on this somewhat gay-related article [Coming out again - The Daily Princetonian](http://www.dailyprincetonian.com/2009/03/31/23207/)). And I also know of gays who are officers of eating clubs (and I mean besides Terrace, where such a feat would not be as impressive).

I wish I could say that youll never see any discrimination from other students on campus but thats not the real world. What I CAN say is that the administration at Princeton headed by President Shirley Tilghman has a very high level of sensitivity to all issues of inclusiveness and makes that known to everyone. I hope some of the above information is helpful. I know that the LGBT Center will sponsor events during April hosting and you should be able to get a lot more of your questions answered. I hope youll choose to wear orange and black!
