<p>MU is obviously a pretty catholic institution, so my daughter is reluctant to apply there for fall of 2011 since she is gay. does anyone have any insight as to how receptive the communinity is?</p>
<p>I cannot imagine she would have any problems with the community at Marquette. I’m sure you’ll find that the Jesuit universities especially share a concern for the care of the person as an individual. I would encourage you to call the campus, the admission office is a good first start or simply a visit to campus.</p>
<p>My son is a Freshman and a friend of his is openly Gay and has not have any problems or regrets about going to MU</p>
