<p>How is the gay life at CMU? Is the campus safe? And how are the guys?</p>
<p>I know a lot of gay guys at CMU. There are actually a lot in the frats here as well. To my understanding it’s as if all the gay guys know each other and know who is gay. All the guys I know are really nice so I’m sure you’ll have no problems finding a guy. And to my knowledge none of them have AIDS or anything.</p>
<p>vyperr - there is a LGBTQ group on campus called SoHo that is a social organization. Not sure how active they are, but at the admitted students weekend a few weeks ago, they had open office hours and were handing out schedules of their weekly get-togethers and activities. <p>CMU seems to be quite open and welcoming to all orientations, and there are gay bars and hangouts in the city as well.</p>
<p>HIV is not a homosexual only transmitted disease. You cannot just say that to your knowledge none of “them” have AIDS or anything (like you can tell by just looking at someone). Anyone who is sexually active is basically at risk unless their partner is monogamous and HIV free.</p>
