^ That is horrible.

^ I've grown used to it =[.

I'm pretty sure my parents would send me to a hospital. Thankfully I'm bi so I don't have go through that...

^ My father, who is a complete redneck conservative, was very accepting. I was astonished. He now is much more liberal. However, my mom, who I thought would be cool, cried for a couple weeks. She does not EVER let me go out without her knowing that I am not going out with any sort of male. She is now uber-protective and does not trust me. It goes to show you to not judge a book by its cover.

Being gay may always be great, but living as one isn't always.

.......good for you?

i think whether or not being gay is immoral or sinful is between the individual and God to decide, just like cheating, stealing and not loving others is.

but discrimination, like calling them hateful names and denying friendship is not only hypocritical but horrible, and sadly, it is pretty evident in our society.

^ But I think MUCH less so with our generation. I firmly believe that gay marriage will be legal within the next five years (although that's tentatively based on who the next president is...)

im gay.... and we definitely dont have it easy.

Great Jock workouts.

That's one ad I totally wanna see..

Anyways, gays are fine. I got no problem with them.

Actually, just one complaint. I don't like it when gay people befriend other people JUST because they're gay. It's a good starting point, but it's not a sole reason for friendship, etc.

i can understand why that happens though.

for the most part gay people go through the similar things, its much easier to relate to another gay guy/girl.

I guess you could say that, but I used to be very anti-gay. Basically I realized that it's probably the best solution for overpopulation. I believe that more people should be encouraged to be gay. For every pro-life billboard, there should be a pro-gay billboard.

I had an epiphany. I saw $4 at the gas pumps, food prices rising, resources being ****ed away like draft beer at a frat party. I realized that we can waste all the resources we want... if there weren't so many damn people on the planet.

Let's all be part of the solution. Don't spit out any ugly kids, live happy, live single, and die happy and single. If you do decide to have kids, get them to join the military so they can be part of the solution.

what I'd really like to ask gay people is how they feel on my transformation of an offensive phrase into useful chemistry jargon (I'm serious...).

that is, of course, if you are saying that there is absolutely nothing wrong with being gay (i feel there isn't)

i wouldn't advocate homosexuality as a way to control the overpopulation, first because some people (not me) don't think that it is too smart to sacrifice one problem for another. secondly, there are many things we can do to limit population, but sacrificing morality is, from a social-contract perspective, morally decadent. we can use genocide, we can force abortions, we can place a child limit ban, but all of these things are highly unethical. I personally don't feel someone should be single all his/her life if being married is what makes them happy. Men and women sometimes want to have many children together, and sacrificing that for overpopulation is really pragmatic, but decadent nonetheless.

if overpopulation is such a problem, then more people should support abortion and let mothers decide for themselves. There are enough kids in the world without homes and parents and they need adopting. I personally have already chosen that I will adopt kids when I am older, not give birth.

A friend of a friend of mine is gay and has said that he would not have chosen to be gay, because of how hard his life is. He endured so much because of it. It's sad because it will probably not stop within his lifetime.

LoL. Why wouldn't a gay person befriend another gay person on the sole reason of their sexuality similarity? Girls befriend girls because they are girls and black people befriend each other because they are black. This is not seen as often here because there are more of those individual groups. I'm sure in Jena, kids befriend one another on their race. They rely on that factor alone as a starting point. They find something similar about someone else and hope to build a friendship on it.

^ I totally agree.

Agree that a lot of the time, it's just easier for people who have gone through similar struggles and situations to relate to each other, which is why some gays seek out other gays for platonic friends.

Liist, in saying that "more people should be encouraged to be gay", you're saying that sexuality is a choice everyone makes. Do you really believe that?

^ I don't think it matters. It is a HUGE step for Anti-gay people to find any pros with the gays, even if it is a weird one. I am glad Liist has changed, even if it is not drastic.

I've just grown up from being a completely politically incorrect prick who takes an extreme stance on every issue. Now that I've grown up (albeit just a little bit), I find that gays should have their rights and even should be encouraged.

It's definitely a drastic change. I used to make fun of gay people and calling them faggots. I also cheered news stories of gay bashers.

I think everyone has had a gay thought before and probably did something at least slightly gay when they didn't know better. For biological and environmental reasons, people naturally become heterosexual. But if everyone was encouraged to be gay, I can guarantee you that we would have more homosexuals and stunted population growth.

Think about it, almost no one in Saudi Arabia is gay because it's a capital offense. Environment plays a big factor.
