Not that I care and it doesn't bother me one bit, I'm just curious as to why there seems to be a lot. Within the first two months I've had 2 gay professors already and 2 gay classmates in the program. Is Baltimore a welcome spot for the gay community or something?

In general, it seems to be that the better the university, the more gay-friendly it is. I’m not sure why this is, if it’s because gays are smarter or because homophobes are dumber. (I’m thinking it’s the latter)
Also, the DC metro area in general is very gay friendly, and all the good schools in the area (Georgetown, American, Johns Hopkins, GW) are very gay-friendly with large gay populations. Some of the…not-as-competitive schools, like Catholic and UDC are much less gay-friendly and have very small gay populations. Again, correlation doesn’t mean causation, but you can interpret this any way you’d like.

Yea, I’m guessing it’s partially because people who are smarter tend to not judge people by their race, religion, or sexual orientation and are therefore more tolerant
