Gee whiz! A likely letter

I got a likely letter too, which has made me consider Penn more seriously. I've also been accepted to Stanford (EA) and Duke (RD). How does Penn compare to these schools and is there a particular reason I should choose Penn over Stanford and Duke?

I guess I should start a thread for the above question...but I definitely want to congratulate all those who have heard back from Penn thus far. As for the rest of the pool, I'm sure you'll get in, CC tends to be full of extremely smart people who double or triple the normal acceptance rate.

westow: as a current penn engg ug, i can tell you that our program is in the top 5 nationwide. overall our engg school is only 22nd, but the bioengg program is 4th and the cbe program is 5th. i guess is depends on what kind of engg you want to do. Also, the research that goes on here is amazing. I'm sure caltech's is as well, but still...

hope that helped;)

i'm prefrosh at penn... got in ED... and i live about 40 mins away from campus, have spent the past two summers there, and am totally in love with the school, the people, and the quad. the friends that i have there are amazing and i know i couldn't be happy anywhere else...i think the best way for all u kids to decide is to come down to preview days obviously, and if you can, stay the weekend for spring fling which is gonna be totally insane... like if you want an awesome education (esp if youre going BBB/pre-med, which i am) and sweet parties... penn is your school.
