Gen. Bio 1 & Calc 3 in Summer

My major: Computer Science.
I'm plan on taking at least 2 classes in Summer and those 2 are basically what I came up with. So what do you guys think about them? Should I take those 2 in Summer or are they a bad combination?
I never take physic before, and did not plan to take it at all (if that's possible). Chem is probably somewhere in there too.

I do not know about summer courses, but those courses during a regular semester shouldn’t trouble you.

Sounds like you don’t appreciate summer. Haha. The guy above is right. I mean, I took both of those in 11th grade.

How long is the summer semester?

@Rivstein: lucky you, got to finish all those classes in the 11th grade. Back in HS, I didn’t know we have something like higher courses(college level) like that, so I basically come to my Math class and sleep entire period from 8th to 11th grade. Now I have to pay the price.

@Nole: pretty fast. Summer courses are not a new thing to me, but the class itself is what scare me.

But again are those 2 classes good to take in summer. If anyone can please specific about what I’m suppose to learn in those classes and which section is the hardest. Opinions are welcome, just throw all that stuff at me.

Bio is just memorization. To me Calc III was the easiest. Just do all the homework its mostly integrals and double integrals. Should be doable over the summer if you are not working too much .

Bio: hopefully my brain won’t fail me yet. Took it twice in HS, the first time: totally got it under control; the second time: just can’t make sense a thing.

Cal 3: if it’s just about “numbers” like integrals and stuff like that then I can handle it. But I just scare of the thing about graphs and 3D, geometry…I’m just bad at that stuff, I can’t imagine in my head how a picture look like. Yeah, I’m not a visual thinker.

Anyway, thanks though! Got a bit of confident now.

What exactly is pretty fast? 6 weeks? 8 weeks?

Taking those two in 6 weeks would be extremely tough.

Oh, thanks god! I thought my brain failed me. But it didn’t, the summer course at my school went from 4 to a little more than 4 weeks.
When I saw you guys talk about summer as long as 6-8 weeks, I thought I lost count of time. I did summer 3 times, after all. It was a hell when I first took 2 summer courses as an HS sophomore.

So yeah, it’s about 4 weeks :stuck_out_tongue: Should I still pursue those 2 classes? And please explain why I shouldn’t take it in summer (well, that is if you think I can’t handle summer courses), don’t just say NO because I always attempt to do things that people said impossible for me.

Oh and there are 2 summer sessions at my school, so I can take up to 4 classes in summer = full time in summer~~
