Bio...Chem...or both?

So I'm a junior this year and I was wondering what you guys think I should take next year.

I'm planning to major in either Biomedical Engineering or Chemical Engineering with possibly a finance or business minor.

I've heard that Bio is the hardest science AP, but after looking though the syllabus for both courses Chem looks more challenging. As far as the rest of my senior schedule goes I'm planning on taking:
AP Calc AB
AP Bio/AP Chem
Honors Economics
Honors English (might change to regular if I do both chem and bio)
College Level Italian
College Level Psychology

I feel like I can handle 3 AP's, but my grade in each might suffer. If I do just Calc and Bio, I'll probably get an A-/B+ in both. On the other hand, if I do all 3 I'll probably end up with a B in at least 2 of them.

I'm also in favor of taking both because most freshman in engineering have to take a Chem I or Bio I so these classes will give me good prep for those.

So I'm looking for advice from those of you who took these classes. Also how hard are these compared to AP Physics B? I have an A- in that class but I feel it's mostly because I love the teacher and really enjoy the material.

Is AP Chem necessary for Chemical Engineering or Biochemistry major? I'm looking at schools such as Northeastern, Drexel, U-Wisconsin Madison, Lehigh, etc.

Depending on what the SAT 2 requirements are for those schools, some definitely preference the Chem and Physics exams over the Bio exams, while accepting any of those, for engineering majors.

My S did both AP Chem and AP Bio his junior year (along with AP Calc BC). He’s doing AP Physics C (both) this year. I’m not sure what you can handle though or what the quality of the education is at your school.

I think the Psych course is entirely unnecessary and it would be better to not take that and perform well in your AP classes.

AP Bio is definitely not the hardest AP science course. It is a bunch of memorization and if you sit and learn a bunch of facts you can easily ace the class. I would say do both at the same time if you can handle the workload. Also, I would be against taking regular english because it may look bad for colleges and I agree with crazymomster that the psychology class is unnecessary unless you have a keen interest in that subject or want to possibly minor in it.

Thanks for the feedback.

The Psych class, despite being “college-level”, isn’t very difficult. It’s taught at an honors level at most, and I’m taking it simply because it interests me. However I’ll probably end up dropping it because I won’t have enough room. I really don’t want to drop Italian because I plan on asking that teacher for a recommendation (I’ve had her for 2 years), but I might have to as well.

I’m going to attempt to take both, it will help me in the long run. Lets just hope my schedule permits it.

Chem is more fun, but bio is a easier.
