I know that University of Georgia is known for having more female students enrolled then males (60:40) girl guy ratio but I am curious if they are taking steps to even out this ratio or keep things the same? Thanks!

It’s not really that the university intends to enroll more females than males, it’s just that females have the better stats.

UGA’s transfer gender ratio is exactly 1:1

In 2011 60% of the freshman class was female.

It doesn’t really make an impact on student life if you’re worried about it.

Most colleges have about a 40/60 ratio of male to female. More women are going to college. Nationally, about 57 percent of college students are female. Different schools have different ratios which are often just indicators of which subjects most students are pursuing. I’ll use an example I know by heart. Virginia Tech is 55/45 because of engineering and is one of very few schools with a higher male enrollment. Every small Virginia college that I know of is around 66% female with about 65-70% of applicants being female.
