whats a good study guide w practice problems for gen chem i?

I heard schaum's general college chem

For Ap Chem I had the book Chemistry by Stephen Zumdahl. A good study guide is published. I don't use the same text this year, but general chem is general chem, and I found zumdahl's text to be superior so i still study out of it

study your textbook, go to recitation and actually do the labs and you should get an A

we also have a 1 credit section where we do nothing but review lecture and answer questions, like an extra section. Look into that

is it good to take general chemistry in your freshman year, even if you didn't have AP chemistry in high school?

its not that bad. its an intro course. it'll be big, and considering it's a premed class it'll be competitive and the grading rough. but the material itself is not bad

over here, "intro to chem" comes before General chemistry( fo science majors only), but I didn't want to waste my time taking the intro course...so I just went with gen chem.

I took chem in 10th grade but I essentially was taught little and payed attention to about 10% of it. I was hesitant to do chem I and was going to do the two-part version, but I took chem I over the summer. Its pretty cool I got an A considering it was 12 instead of 16 weeks. My chem book had this related software called OWL which was the most useful program ever. It is the best tool for practice. All in all, chem I was awesome.
