General Education Requirements-Help!

This might seem like a dumb question, and I’m probably missing the obvious here, but the whole concept of general education requirements confuses me.

I’m a junior in high school, so I still have time but I need help with this. I want to study International Studies/Global Affairs with a minor in a foreign language, and I’m hoping to enroll at OSU ( I have other choices, of course, but OSU is my top pick) after graduation. Would general education requirements come from the Department of IS, the College of Arts & Sciences, or the entire university itself? I’m trying to research gen ed requirements and I keep coming up with nothing. Am I looking in the wrong places? Thanks for your help!

Your Gen Ed requirements are just the College of Arts & Sciences. Unless you’re in engineering that’s the umbrella that everything else falls under. Global Affairs is a BA program which is good for you because BAs in the college of international studies actually require a minor in a foreign language.
